Consumer Direction may seem complicated at first. We break the process into manageable steps.
The individual must be eligible for the applicable Virginia Medicaid program and authorized for a Consumer-Directed service.
Where available, the eligible member may choose the Consumer-Directed model rather than, or in addition to, agency-directed services. Virginia Medicaid states that eligible waiver members may choose Consumer-Directed or agency-directed services for applicable services.
The individual selects a Services Facilitation provider. Choose Caring Home Health Services LLC.
The member or another qualified person may serve as the Employer of Record, depending on the individual’s circumstances and Medicaid requirements.
We educate the EOR regarding applicable responsibilities.
The EOR recruits, interviews, selects, trains, supervises, and manages the attendant according to applicable Medicaid requirements.
The attendant and EOR complete the required enrollment and employment processes through the appropriate Fiscal/Employer Agent and Medicaid systems.
After all applicable requirements and approvals have been completed, authorized services can begin.
Caring Home Health Services LLC remains involved through required monitoring, reassessment, education, and service facilitation.
Our team can help you understand where you are in the process and what comes next.
