How We Support You
Through the Consumer-Directed model, eligible Virginia Medicaid members can have a greater role in selecting and managing the people who provide their authorized care.
Assessment & Planning
We meet with you and your representative to understand needs, preferences, support systems, and goals so the Consumer-Directed arrangement is properly implemented.
Employer of Record Education
We educate the Employer of Record on recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, scheduling, documentation, backup planning, and reporting changes.
Ongoing Monitoring
We provide required monitoring and maintain communication to identify concerns and changes that may affect services, health, safety, and welfare.
Service Coordination
When appropriate, we coordinate with managed care organizations, care coordinators, Fiscal/Employer Agents, healthcare professionals, and support systems.
